DOMINICK Bridgewater helped his Sapela Basket 13 club to the Coupe de Provence title in France’s NM2 League.

Bridgewater finished with 17 points and six assists in his team’s 77-65 win over HTV yesterday.

HTV led 18-16 after the first quarter and the teams took a 31-31 tie into the half.

Bridgewater scored nine points in the third as Sapela outscored their opponents 26-12 to take advantage for good.

Bridgewater leads the team in scoring at 18.3 points per game. He opened the season with 34 points, 10 assists and five steals to lead Sapela 13 to a 104-99 win over Sorgues BC in the season opener.

A member of the FOS-Sur-Mer Byers of the Pro B League, Bridgewater was placed on loan to Sapela Basket 13 for the second consecutive season.

In his short four-game stint with Sapela 13 last season, the 6’2” point guard averaged 16.7 points and 10.4 assists per game with three double doubles.

Although his time with the team came to an early end due to COVID-19, he went on to receive a promotion in the Byers’ system with the Pro B team.

Following his stint with Sapela, Bridgewater joined the Byers’ Pro B roster for the first time in his career.

He appeared in three games in limited minutes and made his debut with four points and three assists.

At the national team level, Bridgewater averaged 12.5 points per game for Team Bahamas against Canada in the first window of the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers.
