A MAN and teenager were yesterday charged in the Magistrate’s Court with armed robbery.

Billy Cejour, 20, and Antonio Paul, 19, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes accused of using a silver coloured handgun to rob a woman of her Nissan Note, worth $4,800, along with her Samsung cellphone, worth $200, on February 8.

Due to the nature of the charge, neither accused was required to enter a plea and the case was adjourned to April 19 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).

Cejour and Paul were denied bail and remanded into custody until that time.

Yesterday, the prosecution alleged that Paul also stole another woman’s $6,000 Nissan Note and $300 Samsung cellphone on January 11.

He is also accused of dishonestly receiving a 2010 Nissan Note from a third woman on January 14 despite the fact that he knew the vehicle had been appropriated through an offence.

Paul denied the allegations and that matter was adjourned to April 20 for trial.
