A Bahamian workspace provider yesterday revealed it has pushed its opening back from May to July 2021 amid continuing COVID-19 uncertainty.

Leon Blaileuiess, Access Cowork Suites' managing director, told Tribune Business his partners had decided not to move ahead so quickly.

He said: “We're working on starting construction soon. The target opening date has been changed to some time later, most likely in July.”

Pushing the date back has “nothing really to do with COVID-19” but multiple other issues, Mr Blaileuiess added. He said the project was treading lightly due to the economic fall-out created by the pandemic, adding that there were no issues with financing.

As for the workspace, Mr Blaileuiess said: “We're getting inquiries. I’m meeting today with somebody. They're looking for a substantial amount of square feet.”

The project plans to develop a workspace in the Windsor Field Road area near Old Fort Bay. It promised to deliver anywhere from 100 square feet to 1,000 square feet of space for persons looking for office space.
