SEVERAL national team players helped the Fos Provence Basketball Byers achieve promotion to France’s JEEP Elite Pro A League for the second time in the last three years.

Jonathan Augustin-Fairell, Jaraun “Kino” Burrows and Dominick Bridgewater all appeared for the Byers.

The Byers concluded the season with an 89-71 win over Nantes to improve to 23-11 and clinch their spot and receive promotion to the next level.

Augustin-Fairell finished with 14 points and five rebounds in the finale.

In 20 games this season, he averaged 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on 61 percent shooting from the field.

Burrows was limited to just 11 games in an injury-plagued season and averaged 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Bridgewater joined the duo on the Byers’ Pro B roster for a brief callup for the first time in his career.

He appeared in three games in limited minutes and made his debut with four points and three assists.

The Byers previously placed Bridgewater on loan to Sapela Basket 13 last offseason, his first in the NM2 League.

He averaged 16.7 points and 10.4 assists per game with three double double in four games.

In 2018, Burrows and the Byers closed their season with a history-making milestone.

The team won the France LNB Pro B title with a 76-70 win over Roanne to claim the league title and was granted promotion to the JEEP Elite league for the first time in club history.

Burrows scored 12 points on 4-6 shooting from the field to close out the series as they completed a dominant undefeated 6-0 postseason run.
