Mechanic denies stealing car

A MECHANIC who denied stealing a man’s car was yesterday granted bail ahead of his trial.

Moise Bazile appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis accused of stealing and dishonestly receiving a man’s $4,000 silver coloured Colorado vehicle in July 2020.

He denied the allegations and the case was adjourned to May 5 for trial.

In the meantime, Bazile was granted $6,000 bail.

Meanwhile, Cedric Stockdale, 42, appeared before Magistrate Rolle Davis after he was accused of stealing two bottles of Dettol disinfectant liquid from Super Value’s Wulff Road branch on March 8.

He pleaded not guilty to one count of stealing from a shop and his case was adjourned to May 25 for trial.

Stockdale was granted $300 bail in the interim.
