THREE male residents of Eight Mile Rock, including a juvenile, were charged yesterday in connection with the shooting of a young man last week on Grand Bahama.

Stephen Darquin Demeritte, 20, Donny Anthony Charles, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile, all of Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson.

They were charged with causing grievous harm and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

It is alleged that on Friday, March 26, the accused men caused grievous harm to Obvince Innocent. It is also alleged that on the same date and place, they had a firearm—a black pistol — intending to endanger Mr Innocent’s life. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted $5,000 bail with one or two suretors. The magistrate ordered them to sign in every day at EMR Police Station between 11am and 8pm.

The case was adjourned to June 16.
