POLICE have two male suspects in custody in connection with an alleged cheque fraud.
The Financial Crimes Branch said “unscrupulous” people have presented fraudulent cheques purporting to be from the Bahamas Mortgage Corporation (BMC) and drawn on the account of Bank of the Bahamas (BOB).
The branch has urged the public to seek verification with BMC for all cheques presented and to report any suspicious transactions to police immediately.
