GRAND Bahama police arrested a man for drug possession on Monday.

According to Superintendent Stephen Rolle, shortly before 5.30pm officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit went in the area of Basil Neymour Park on Coral Road. While there, they discovered a black plastic saran wrap that contained suspected marijuana at a utility pole.

The estimated weight of the drugs is 0.5 pounds, with an estimated street value of $500.

Supt Rolle also said that DEU officers in New Providence arrested a 40-year-old male resident of Dollar Row, Freeport, in connection with the discovery of 58 kilos of suspected cocaine that was previously discovered on Cat Island.
