JONQUEL Jones delivered another double double and her UMMC Ekaterinburg Foxes remained undefeated in FIBA Women’s EuroLeague play in Europe.

Jones finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds - both team highs - in an 82-67 victory over KSC Szekszard in Szekszard, Hungary, yesterday.

She shot 7-12 from the field and also added five assists, with three blocked shots.

Through three EuroLeague games, since she concluded her historic MVP campaign in the WNBA, Jones has averaged 17 points, 9.7 rebounds, three assists and two blocks per game for the Foxes.

UMMC are unbeaten both domestically in the Russian Premier League and in the EuroLeague Women, where they stand at 5-0 after wins against BLMA, TTT Riga, Umana Reyer Venezia and ZVVZ USK Praha last month.

The Foxes only loss on the year was against Valencia, 73-66, in the SuperCup final.

Jones joined the club in week three with 19 points and nine rebounds against BLMA. She followed with 15 points and 10 rebounds against USK and 15 points and 11 rebounds USK Praha.

The Foxes are slated to continue EuroLeague play against MBA Moscow on November 24.

UMMC is favoured to repeat as EuroLeague champions for the seventh consecutive year, and boasts a roster that also includes Brittney Griner (Phoenix Mercury), Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm), Allie Quigley (Chicago Sky) and Courtney Vandersloot (Chicago Sky).

Last season, Jones averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in EuroLeague play. She also shot 74 percent from the field and a league leading 62 percent (8-13) on three-point field goals.

Jones’ extended offseason last year included three championship titles with the Foxes. They claimed their sixth FIBA Women’s EuroLeague title.

The Foxes’ season of milestones also included the Russian Premier League title for the 15th time in club history, and for the 13th consecutive season, along with the RFB Super Cup.
