Bahamas defeats Belize to improve to 2-2

THE Bahamas defeated Belize to improve to 2-2 at the International Cricket Council’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifying event in Antigua and Barbuda.

The Bahamas won by 11 runs and Marc Taylor was named the Man of the Match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua yesterday.

The Bahamas won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 150 runs and for eight wickets in 20 overs. Taylor accounted for 67 of the team’s runs.

Bermuda responded with 139 runs for six wickets in 20 overs.

Kervon Hinds was the top bowler for The Bahamas and allowed 36 runs for three wickets in four overs.

The Bahamas will face the United States on Saturday, November 13.
