A 21-YEAR-OLD man accused of raping a woman earlier this month was remanded to prison yesterday.
Mervin Johnson, 21, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain yesterday faced with one count of rape.
It is alleged that on November 10, he raped a 22-year-old woman. Due to the nature of the charge, Johnson was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to December 10 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
