It is unbelievable! One man with a sledgehammer at Government House almost destroyed the statue of Christopher Columbus before the police arrived.

What happened? Why did it take the police so long to get there? When were they notified? Was it considered an emergency?

Also troubling, where were the Defence Force officers stationed at Government House?

And what about the multi-million CCTV programme, where the police have the city under surveillance in real-time.

It is good to quote statistics on crimes solved, but what about crime prevention? It does not look well for the Royal Bahamas Police Force nor the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. The Commissioner and the Commodore must give us answers that we can believe.
