A MAN and a teenager were yesterday charged with murder in two separate incidents.

Regarding the most recent homicide, Dandray Bethel appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain charged with the death of Renardo Brennen on September 29.

According to police reports, sometime around 8.30 that night, they received a tip from a caller who informed the Police Control Room that a man had been shot on Windsor Lane west.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the unresponsive body of a man lying in bushes on the northern side of the street. After Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and examined the body, the man was pronounced dead.

Yesterday, Bethel was not required to answer to the charge. He returns to court December 13 to be presented with a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).

While he was denied bail and remanded to prison, he has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.

Meanwhile, Keno Janvier, 19, appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt charged with the death of Walter Johnson on September 19.

He was not required to enter a plea and will return to court December 16 for service of his VBI.

Like Bethel, he was denied bail and taken into custody.

He also has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
