A woman accused of grievously harming another woman was yesterday warned not to interfere with any of the witnesses involved in her case leading up to her trial.

Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis issued the order to Willneka Demeritte after she denied committing the offence on October 5.

After pleading not guilty to one count of grievous harm yesterday, Demeritte was granted $8,500 bail. She returns to court on December 8 for trial.

Meanwhile, two women who denied last year harming a man and woman were also granted bail ahead of their trial.

Police said Julia Russell and Juliette Neely caused harm to Oliver Curtis and Carla Wallace in July 2020.

Russell is also accused of assaulting the man and woman with a screwdriver and mop that same day.

When they appeared before Magistrate Kendra Kelly, both of the women denied the allegations brought against them and their case was adjourned to December 10 for trial.

In the interim, Russell and Neely were each granted $1,500 bail.
