Todd Isaacs Jr’s late game heroics helped the New Jersey Jackals to open up their current series against the Washington Wild Things with a come-from-behind win.

Isaacs’ 11th home-run of the season for the Jackals was a 3-run shot that tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the 9th inning at Yogi Berra Stadium in Montclair, New Jersey.

The Jackals eventually went on to win 9-7 on a walkoff two-run home run from Josh Rehwaldt later in the inning.

Isaacs extended his hit streak to four and finished with three RBI and two runs scored.

In just 50 games this season, Isaacs’ 11 home runs ranks second on the team behind J Wylie’s 14, achieved in 75 games.

Isaacs is hitting .299 (fourth on the team) with 58 hits, including eight doubles, three triples, 31 RBI, scored 39 runs, seven stolen bases, slugging .541 with an .887 .OPS.

The Jackals compete in the Northeast Division of the Frontier League. Isaacs has had an immediate offensive impact in his first season with the club. Earlier in the season he posted a nine game hit streak and is near the team lead in several offensive categories.

In a 4-2 win over the Wild Things on August 7, Isaacs finished 2-3 with two home runs, two RBI and scored two runs. It was his third multi home-run game of the season.

In a 10-9 loss to the New York Boulders on June 23, Isaacs went 3-5 with two home runs, a triple, a season high five RBI and scored two runs. In a 5-4 loss to the Wild Things on July 7, Isaacs finished 3-5 with two home runs, two RBI and scored three runs.

The Frontier League is the largest league in all of independent professional baseball. It includes teams in the Northeastern and Midwestern United States and Eastern Canada. Last year it merged with the American Association and the Atlantic League to become an official MLB Partner League.
