The usual PLP stalwarts have come out with the predictable drivel in your letters page reference the election.

The election was lost by the Minnis government as it was handed in poker terminology a dead man’s hand. Dorian followed by COVID sealed their fate. FNM fate as per Trump who would have won by a landslide if not for the COVID pandemic.

One of your contributors tried to allude to the FNM being the party of the rich. What unadulterated twaddle. Regardless of which party has historically been in power money has always been raised off the backs of the majority and will continue to do so. He is forgetting the politicians are all very wealthy people.

It was the PLP led by Christie who introduced VAT to the Bahamas. VAT is very much a tax on the working/middle class.

The status quo of Bahamian politics will be unchanged.
