A 31-year-old man accused of killing a man in Andros last year will answer to the charges in the Supreme Court next month.

In April 2020, Clinton Forbes was charged with the murder of Calvin Harrison Rolle.

According to initial reports, on the first of that month, police responded to the settlement of Mars Bay, South Andros after receiving reports that a man was discovered near a community park with apparent gunshot injuries to his body. Medical personnel were called but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

After his arraignment, Forbes was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.

When he returned to court for the presentation of his voluntary bill of indictment (VBI), he elected to have 21 days to notify the prosecution of his alibi witnesses.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney then told the accused he would appear before Supreme Court Justice Bernard Turner at which time he will enter a plea to the murder charge.

Forbes was further remanded into custody until that time.
