Man accused over fake currency

By PAVEL BAILEY

A MAN was arraigned yesterday on possession of forged currency and drug charges.

Lavardo Dean Jr, 20, appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence A Rolle Davis on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of a forged currency note.

On April 3, Dean was arrested after he was found in possession of eight fraudulent US $100 bills bearing the serial number LF5360329OF as well as five grams of Indian hemp.

In court the accused pleaded guilty to both charges. While Magistrate Rolle Davis fined Dean $200 for the drug charges, he did not make a final ruling on the fake currency charge.

Dean’s case was adjourned to April 11 for the magistrate’s judgement on that matter.
