A 25-year-old woman was remanded to prison yesterday accused of aiding in the attempted murder of a man last week.

Nashante Hall stood before Magistrate Samuel McKinney, charged with abetment to attempted murder.

Police allege that Hall, while being concerned with others, purposefully aided and abetted in the attempted killing of Javon Saunders on April 8.

During yesterday’s hearing, Hall was not required to enter a plea to the offence.

She was told the case will be forwarded to the Supreme Court for trial through a voluntary bill of indictment to be served on July 25.

Bail was denied and the accused was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until that time.

However, she has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
