A TEENAGER was charged with murder yesterday in connection with the shooting death of a 32-year-old man last month.
Marcean Knowles, 19, faced Senior Magistrate Derence A Rolle Davis on the charge of murder.
On July 4 at Quarry Mission Road, Knowles is accused of being involved in the killing of 32-year-old Romando Huyler.
Due to the severity of the offence, the accused was not required to enter a plea yesterday.
Knowles was informed that his case would proceed by way of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI).
The accused was further told that he could apply for bail through the Supreme Court, where his trial will be heard.
Until bail is formally granted, Knowles will be remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS).
He will return to the Magistrate’s Court for service of his VBI on October 24.
