Using too many superlatives

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Earlier today I sent in an opinion on media over stating and using superlatives describing the status of something in The Bahamas or proposals.

Just read a comment of the Minister for Grand Bahama on the Carnival Cruise announcement that they will start dredging their port facility....quote, hope it’s accurate “the envy of the Caribbean and jewel in Carnival’s fun ship brand”- maybe for a few weeks till Disney and RCL open up theirs and revamps existing.

We have to be careful how we state things - loose words and we have not earned the description - over use of certain adjectives can over state what to expect.

Our Lucaya - the PLP proposal seems to have become very cold recently!
