A MAN was granted $7,500 bail in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday in relation to a firearm charge.
Curry Esteve, 37, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney on charges of possession of an unlicenced firearm and possession of ammunition.
On August 12 in New Providence, Esteve was reportedly found by police with a black and silver 9mm Taurus G2C pistol with the serial number erased. In court, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
As there were no objections to bail, $7,500 bail was granted to the accused with one or two sureties.
Esteve’s trial will begin on September 21.
