A PEDESTRIAN was struck and killed on Independence Highway last night, police said.
Press liaison officer Chrislyn Skippings said the victim was a 52-year-old man, believed to be a resident of Yellow Elder Gardens.
He was reportedly on the highway around 8pm when he was hit by a woman driving a white SUV. The driver stayed on scene and is assisting police, CSP Skippings said.
