ANFERNEE Seymour was on the move in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and has made an immediate impact with his new franchise.

On August 19, Seymour was traded from the Charleston Dirty Birds to the Long Island Ducks in exchange for a player to be named later.

The Ducks released infielder Jacson McGowan to complete the transaction.

In his Long Island debut, Seymour quickly became a fan favourite with a power-hitting display to lead the Ducks to a 16-9 win over the York Revolution on August 21.

His first hit as a Duck was a two-out grand slam over the left field wall to highlight a seven-run inning for Long Island to take an 8-3 lead.

In eight games with the Ducks, Seymour is hitting .276 with a .783 OPS, eight hits, seven runs scored, seven RBI, and three stolen bases.

The Ducks are currently 19-28 in the second half of the ALPB North division. In total, they are 55-58, six games behind in the Wild Card Race.

Seymour was traded away from a Charleston team that is 46-66 in the standings.

In his debut season with the club, Seymour appeared in 79 games and led the club with 24 stolen bases and 18 doubles.

He also ranked second on the team with 50 runs scored, a .253 batting average, 75 hits, slugging .387 with a .317 OBP. He also had a .704 OPS with six home runs and 36 RBI.

Seymour opened his 2022 season on a high note with a solo home run in his Dirty Birds debut.

The ALPB is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.
