THE Department of Immigration repatriated 118 Haitian migrants on Tuesday.
The group left around 8.30am on a Bahamasair chartered flight from New Providence bound for Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
One hundred and four males and 14 females were among the group.
“The department’s deportation team led these escorts with all COVID-19 protocols strictly observed as the health, welfare, and safety of our officers, law enforcement counterparts, and migrants remain the highest priority in this COVID-19 environment,” a press release from the agency said.
