A MALE juvenile was charged in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday with loitering.

The 17-year-old, whose name is withheld because he is a minor, faced the charge before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

On June 19 at Parliament Street and Prince George Wharf the accused was found loitering in the area without lawful excuse. He then failed to move away quietly when asked to do so by a police officer.

In court, the accused pleaded guilty to the charge.

Given his early plea, thus sparing the court’s time, Magistrate Swain elected to caution the youth and discharge the matter.
