A MAN yesterday pleaded not guilty to trespassing and taking prohibited articles into a correctional facility.

It is alleged that Tevin Johnson at 8.10pm on June 21, 2022, while at Fox Hill Road South and being concerned with another, without lawful cause, did trespass on the premises of the Bahamas Department of Corrections Service (BDCS).

It is further claimed he, being concerned with another, unlawfully took an Alcatel cell phone and a ZTE cell phone into BDCS, which are prohibited articles.

Yesterday, Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr granted $2,500 bail to Johnson with one or two sureties.

He is to return to court on September 2.
