A 70-YEAR-OLD woman is dead after a traffic accident on Saturday.
Police said the incident happened at around 9.15pm at Mackey Street, north of Wulff Road.
According to reports, the woman was driving a burgundy-coloured Nissan March in the area of Rosedale Street when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle and ran into a utility pole.
The victim, whose vehicle received minimal damage, was taken to the hospital by EMS where she died of her injuries. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Police investigations continue.
