Woman used cutlass and car in attack

A WOMAN was ordered to attend anger management classes yesterday after admitting to assaulting a man with a cutlass and a car.

Alia Pitt, 22, represented by Troy Kellman, appeared before Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr on charges of assault with a deadly instrument and assault with a deadly weapon.

On July 6 in New Providence, Ms Pitt is accused of assaulting Oniel Moxey with a cutlass and a white Toyota vehicle.

Pitt pleaded guilty. The magistrate summarily ordered her to attend six months of anger management classes for the first count against her.

Should Pitt fail to attend classes or receive an unsatisfactory report, she would face six months in custody.

Pitt would further face an additional three months in custody to be served concurrently for the second count against her.

The defendant is expected to return to court for mention on March 7, 2023 after she has completed her course.
