TWO TEENAGERS were arraigned in Magistrate’s Court yesterday accused of stealing $300 from a woman at gunpoint.

Schreiden Dieujuste, 18, and a 14-year-old male appeared appeared before Magistrate Kara Turnquest- Deveaux on a charge of armed robbery.

On May 25 in New Providence the defendants armed with a handgun are alleged to have robbed Shelly Gong of $300 belonging to Variety Wholesale Trading.

Due to the nature of the offence the defendants were not required to enter a plea at this time. They were told this matter would proceed by way of Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI).

The Magistrate also informed them that their matter would be heard before the Supreme Court, where they can also apply for bail.

Until bail is granted, they will be remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS) and Simpson Penn Centre For Boys respectively.

The defendants are expected to return to court for service of their VBIs on July 27.
