POLICE in New Providence are investigating the shooting death of a man on Sunday.
According to reports, sometime before 4am, police were alerted to a shooting incident on Nassau Street.
“Officers were dispatched and on their arrival at the scene, they were informed that a male was shot and was transported to the hospital by occupants of a private vehicle,” police said in a release.
The victim later died of his injuries.
Police said investigations into this matter continue.
This incident comes as authorities also probe the murder of a man in Palmetto Point, Eleuthera.
Preliminary reports are that shortly after 4pm on Sunday, police were alerted to a shooting at a local marina where they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.
The male was later examined by local medical practitioners and pronounced lifeless.
