A MAN and a woman were granted bail in Magistrate’s Court yesterday on separate charges of threats of death.

Sylvanus Larramore, 30, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain for allegedly threatening his aunt, Monica Miller, with death on June 22 in New Providence.

On that day at around 11am, the court was told, the accused went to his aunt’s house where the two got into an argument, which led to Ms Miller claiming her nephew said he was going to kill her.

After pleading not guilty to the charge, Larramore said he doesn’t try to cause problems and stays to himself. He further explained that on the day of the incident he and his aunt got into an argument over someone they both knew and while the accused admitted to saying hurtful things to her, he claims he never threatened Ms Miller with death.

The magistrate then granted the accused bail at $2,000 with one surety.

Larramore’s trial is set for October 3.

Kevianner Pinder, 29, also stood before Magistrate Swain on a threat of death charge.

On June 6 in New Providence, Pinder allegedly threatened Curlene Thompson with death. She pleaded not guilty.

Pinder was also granted $2,000 bail with one surety and her trial is also set to commence on October 3.
