A MAN was sentenced to three months in prison yesterday for trying to steal a man’s car bumper.

Douglas Moss, 19, stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on a charge of attempted stealing.

Between June 22 and June 23 Moss attempted to steal Ryan Payne’s front bumper from his 2011 Nissan Cube, with the part being valued at $759.

Footage from the complainant’s security system revealed the accused as the man who attempted to steal the item.

In court, Moss pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to three months in custody at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.

Moss has within seven days to appeal.
