PAUL Greene and Brandon Meadows were recognised by their respective conferences in their first seasons with new programmes.

Greene, the freshman guard, has had an immediate impact with the Three Rivers Community College Raiders.

Greene was named NJCAA All-Region XVI Second Team when the league announced its regular season honours.

In his first season of collegiate basketball, Greene averaged 7.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in 29 appearances on 42 percent shooting from the field.

Meadows, a senior guard for the Southwest Mustangs, completed his collegiate college basketball career with an All-Conference Honourable Mention selection by the Red River Athletic Conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Meadows was third on the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game, led the team in rebounding at 8.1 boards per game and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free-throw line.

He broke the 20-point barrier three times this season, including a season high 26 points with five double doubles.

The Mustangs were the third stop on Meadows’ collegiate career.

At the NCAA Division II level, he spent time with Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds and at the JuCo level with the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers. With the Lancers, he averaged 13.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a sophomore and posted 14.2 points per game as a freshman.
