EDITOR, The Tribune.

It is offensive, ZANU-PF continues to prohibiting the opposition party from being a door-to-door campaign for the by-election for next month. The Citizens Coalition for Change were being detained in the city of Masvingo, 300 kilometers south of the capital Harare.

Police also issued a statement saying while the CCC rally was granted permission, the party was not allowed to provide transport for its supporters. The by-elections are a high-stakes event in Zimbabwe politics. They serve as a dress rehearsal for the general elections due to be held in 2023. There's a total of 133 elective vacancies that have to be filled - they comprise 28 parliamentary seats and 105 council seats emanating from recalls, deaths, and dismissals.

Since its independence in 1980, Zimbabwe has experienced low intensity conflict marked by periods of escalation and political violence. Conflict today remains rooted in disputes over national power, economic hardship and pre-colonial disputes which have not been resolved. The citizens should reclaim their power from the politicians, but in Zimbabwe oppositions they were arrested and allegedly brutalized by the police. Peer should put eye on the ruling party in Zimbabwe, Zimbabweans are not free to vote at all.

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) reported Sunday that one supporter was killed while more than a dozen were injured after violent thugs attacked a campaign rally addressed by party leader Nelson Chamisa. Thousands of supporters attended the rally at Mbizo 4 shopping Centre in Kwekwe and defied attacks by ZANU-PF thugs.

If you are not white or from the West nobody cares about your problems, like the war in Yemen. Now back to the story of the bad Putin vs good Ukraine...
