Sandals parking

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Totally support writer Vincent Wallace Whitfield on parking near Sandals, West Bay. As he described the public Government parking lot in front of Post Office - Cable Beach is jammed packed with Sandals employees cars all day every day.

Looked around close by and saw cars parked on any green patch.. in the lot behind Island Luck building — the strip Mall on West Bay opposite Sandals. In City Market parking lot...Sandals employees can’t hide uniform!

A friend who lives across West Bay told me Sandals is taking over two vacant lots and putting employee parking there — they hear Sandals has not applied and this is in the slap middle of a residential area — the residents are furious. Where’s the Killarney MP?

One thing around here Planning seems to think residential can be switched - You save and buy hoping the future at the location described as a quiet tranquil residential sub-division then one day a business comes along and wants to put a parking lot right behind you or to the side of you without even approaching you.

Writing for my friend...his dream home and area under attack like Ukraine from Sandals who seeming have no concern for the privacy and ownership of residential property.....having a parking lot next to your property does not increase the value....noise all day!
