Man cleared of murder

A JURY unanimously acquitted a 27-year-old man of murder on Monday.

Alpheaus Smith was accused of killing Kareem Hepburn in Carmichael on July 27, 2018. He was also accused of attempting to murder Raggin McKenzie and David Adderley the same day and of having a firearm intending to endanger their lives. He was found not guilty on all charges.

The case was heard before Supreme Court Justice Guillimina Archer.

Calvin Seymour represented Mr Smith. Danard Brown represented the Office of the Attorney General.
