Pentecostal Assemblies hold annual convention

THE Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World is currently hosting its 73rd annual General Convention under the theme: “Standing on a Firm Foundation”.

Hybrid services are underway at Transformation Ministries International in Dignity Gardens, Nassau with daily sessions at noon- 2pm and nightly 7.30pm until tomorrow.

Prime Minister Philip “Brave” Davis commended Diocesan Bishop Ellis J Farrington Sr and the work of the executive team of the 39th Diocesan District in the areas of evangelism, missions, community outreach, Christian education and Christian leadership, recognising the importance of the work of the church in civil society.

Suffragan Bishop Dr Anthony Farrington said the general convention is important and timely as it promotes Christian values in a time when some “abandon their principles and accept to conform to other cultures and practices”.

On Sunday, March 6, District Elder Dr Roosevelt Kamiller Whyms led the national Sunday School session.

Bishop Ellis Farrington Sr encouraged those gathered in the church and via livestream on ZNS and social media to “live a clean and upright life”.

Addresses also came from Suffragan Bishop David Higgins; Minister Rosalie Farrington Wilkinson; Sister Sheniqua Roker; Suffragan Bishop Dr Sharon Rolle; Bishop Barrington Smith; and Evangelist Mother Gloria P Dawkins.

Tonight’s session will cover the topic: “Faith Without Limit”, facilitated by Elder Murietta Scavella.

Tomorrow, the church will address: “Pulpit Etiquette”. Evening hybrid worship services include vibrant praise and worship sessions, prayers, and special speakers delivering the Word of God. The public is invited to join the worship on Facebook Live or Youtube.
