ONE hundred and twenty-three Haitians, including children, who were picked up at sea in Bahamian waters recently were flown out of Grand Bahama onboard a Bahamasair flight to Haiti yesterday.

The group of 50 men, 34 women, and 39 minors were intercepted near the Cay Sal Bank by the US Coast Guard Cutter Harriett.

USCG officials turned the migrants over to Bahamian authorities last Tuesday offshore near Freeport Harbour. They were transported in buses to the GB Taxi Union Hall for processing. It was the single largest group of migrants brought to Grand Bahama this year.

According to a reliable source, the 84 Haitian adults were all convicted of illegal embarkation.
