A 31-YEAR-OLD man was remanded to prison yesterday on murder charges.

Police arrested and charged Cyran Russell after he was accused of killing Camario Miller on March 6.

The charges stem from a stabbing incident that occurred on Fritz Lane, according to the Crown prosecutor.

During his appearance before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt yesterday, Russell was not required to enter a plea to the offence.

He was told that his matter will proceed to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment and was ordered to return to court on July 25 for presentation of the VBI.

In the meantime, he will be remanded to prison.

However, Russell has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail in relation to the charge.
