Man ‘had items believed to be stolen’

By PAVEL BAILEY

A MAN was arraigned yesterday on charges of unlawful possession.

Durk Whylly, 50, of Ann’s Drive, Winston Meadows, stood before Senior Magistrate Samuel McKinney after being found with items suspected to have been stolen.

On March 14, officers arrested Whylly at his residence for being in possession of suspected stolen items as he was unable to give officers a satisfactory account of how he came by them.

These items included jewellery, watches, a handbag, sunglasses, as well as a Huawei cell phone.

In court, Whylly pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. Magistrate McKinney granted the accused bail at $1,500 with one surety. His case was adjourned to July 25.
