TWO men were granted bail in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday after allegedly attacking each other with cutlasses.
Garvin Smith, 41, of #7 Windsor Place, and Ian Stuart, 52, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain. The men each faced one count of assault with a dangerous instrument and causing harm.
On May 5 at Windsor Place Road both men were accused of assaulting each other with cutlasses resulting in both being injured during the argument.
In court, the accused pleaded not guilty to their separate charges. As there was no objection to bail from the prosecution $3,000 bail was granted to each man with one or two sureties.
The defendants’ respective trials have been adjourned to July 25.
