GRAND Bahamas police are investigating an alleged rape carried out in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Shortly before 2am, the Police Control Room received a report of a woman being sexually assaulted at a residence in the South Bahamia area. Uniform and plainclothes officers were dispatched to investigate.
Initial reports revealed the woman was awakened by two dark men who robbed her of $520 and had sexual intercourse with her against her will.
This incident is under active investigation.
