A MAN has denied involvement in two armed robberies in September 2011 as his trial began in the Supreme Court yesterday.

Neville Knowles stood before Justice Guilimina Archer-Minns charged with two counts of armed robbery.

He is alleged to have committed two armed robberies in New Providence on September 1, 2011 while being concerned with others.

One of the co-accused in this matter was former Police Constable Angelo Roker who was acquitted of the charge by then acting Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson.

Knowles pleaded not guilty to both charges. A jury of nine people was empaneled to determine his guilt or innocence as the trial proceeds.

The accused is expected to return to court on November 7 for the prosecution’s opening address.
