While I fully endorse the view expressed by Athena Damianos, with respect to the QC/BNT roundabout, perhaps, if the Government has some money for “Roundabouts”, it may wish to convert the nightmare that is the Village and Eastern Roads mess.
Just turn that entire flow around the old Montagu Hotel island into a roundabout and get rid of the lights at both junctions.
There will need to be some mechanism to integrate the two east-bound lanes coming from East Bay Street but without a Traffic Light the “very important line jumpers” in the right hand lane should be able to decently merge into either Eastern Road or Shirley Street.
The eastern access to Ft Montagu would likely have to be sacrificed for Village Road access.
