POLICE are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an 87-year-old man on Sunday.
According to initial reports from police, officers were told that shortly before 5pm on Sunday two male relatives were swimming in waters at Adelaide Village when a wave swept both men a short distance from the shoreline.
Both men resurfaced, however, the victim appeared to be unconscious.
EMS was called and confirmed the victim had no signs of life.
Foul play is not suspected in this matter, police said, however an investigation continues.
