TWO boys were charged in Magistrate’s Court yesterday in connection with the attempted murder of a man.

The two 14-year-old boys, were represented by attorney Ian Cargill. They were charged with the attempted murder of Marvin Smith, Jr, on September 5 in New Providence.

They were not required to enter a plea in court and were told that their case would be fast tracked to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).

The teens were denied bail, but can apply to the Supreme Court for pretrial release. Until then they were remanded to Simpson Penn Centre for Boys.

They are expected to return to court for their VBI presentation on December 13.
