$50,000 taken in break-in

POLICE are searching for three men who broke into a business on Tuesday morning and stole an estimated $50,000 in cash from the company’s safe.

The incident occurred between 2am and 3am on Tuesday, police said.

Police were told that the culprits gained access to the building, on Rosetta Street, through an eastern window on the second floor.

“Police are actively investigating this incident and are once again appealing to business owners not to leave large sums of cash in their establishment,” the Royal Bahamas Police Force said. “Business owners are encouraged to collaborate daily, with the officer-in-charge of the policing district in which their business is located, to strategically plan methods to circumvent being a victim of crime.”
