Man accused of having $11k of marijuana

A MAN was granted $7,500 bail after he was allegedly found with $11,000 worth of marijuana at a business on Montrose Avenue last week.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney charged Carlos Nesbitt, 50, with possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.

Levan Johnson represented the accused.

Nesbitt was allegedly found with 11lbs of marijuana which police officers reportedly found hidden in boxes on the night of November 2. An undisclosed large sum of cash was also seized.

Following his not guilty plea to the charge, Nesbitt was told he is to sign in at the Wulff Road Police Station every Wednesday by 6pm.

The trial in this matter starts on December 2.
