A MAN was remanded after allegedly trying to steal a woman’s car at gunpoint last week.
Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr, charged Frank Dorsett, 26, with attempted armed robbery.
Dorsett, while armed with a gun, allegedly attempted to rob Ilsa Smith of a red coloured 2015 Chevy Equinox valued at $8,500 in New Providence on November 6.
The defendant was told that his matter would be transferred to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI). He will be sent to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until the higher court grants him bail.
Dorsett’s VBI is to be served on February 27, 2024.
